this was just too good of a short film not to put up. the abstruse creature and elegant cinematography seemed to allude to more.
directed by trevor cawood and produced by robin hays.
i would have danced with him.

so i know this post is a bit late but i thought in case you hadn’t heard about it you should.
the greatly coveted turner prize has been awarded this year to, mark wallinger. for his exhibition he displayed a film in which he wandered the national gallery in berlin in a bear suit. you can go here for the official press release. now i’m sure you would give your left kidney to hear my ramblings (bear in mind one is quite sufficient) and i don’t blame you for that one bit. however i think that would be quite inadequate so why not hear a bit from the man himself.
i think mark explains it best. also included was his homage to brian haw, the peace protester defending the right to protest near parliament.

oh and if you happen to know sophie tidman, or tiddles as i like to call her, well then you should know they’re related. her family will never cease to amaze me.

nothing quite beasts it.
oh what a laugh i am.
the short animation titled my first crush is animated by julia pott as her final film project at kingston university. the dialogue is taken from interviews with common people. quite neato.
since i started drinking the intoxicating fruit of the vine i never came accross a glass that was as good as the bottle looked, bar ralph steadman’s; or close to since i mean, it is steadman whom did the art work and that’s kind of hard to beat. c’mon.
now however it seems some aussies decided to step up to the plate and creat a wine that tastes as it looks. damn good.

the wine is called mollydooker and not only did they design enchanting labels for their wines, they also just had 10 of their wines receive 90-99 points from the wine advocate. not too shabby right?

converse’ 100th anniversary.
can you remember the good ol’ days when a pair of converse cost 20 quid, if that?
::sigh::
there’s something so romantic about sigur rós; i don’t think you can even articulate it.
anywho i don’t know who had the bright idea to not tell me about this film.
i’m actually quite upset by the whole thing.
however no harm was done and i’ll be catching it just in time.
it all seems to be quite quixotic.

shoes.
what can i say,
i’m a shoe enthusiast.
and if i was a man these would be a needed and wanted shoe:

the latest release of visvim.
of course they’ve only been released in japan but that shouldn’t stop you.
a good shoe is a good shoe.
i mean what’s more fetching than a boy in white trainers?
also, besides vagabond’s amazing collection
they have quite the campaign for their new line.
you can drink it all in and then some here:
i need to think of a creative way to use shoes.
cause hell – i love the damn things.
